Free Video Catcher

Free Video Catcher will capture streaming videos, saving them as FLV files.
By using this free utility, you will be able to store any flash streaming video on your hard disk.

This program will capture it directly from the network traffic. So, you do not need to play the video in your browser. Just tell the program the URL for a given video and it will begin to download it. In the end, you will have an FLV video that you can play with a player, or upload to a site.

You can set the program to ignore files that are too small, since they are often ads. The program is available in five languages.

The developers suggest that this program can download just the audio from a flash file, and save it to an MP3 file. That is not true, even when you choose the "Record Audio Only" feature, the program will save an FLV file with audio and video.

In order to be able to use Free Video Catcher, you will need to have the WinPcap component installed in your system. It will be installed automatically if needed.
